“Life and way’s of a country singer”

Life as a child, was very interesting, but not very easy.  This is how it all began my daddy, was a very hard worker, he worked in Box factories and saw mills when I was a child growing up in a little railroad town called Roseland, Louisianna and he always seemed to be that happy go lucky kind of guy, but sometimes there were only tears, that he would only reveal to my mama, boy my mama she was something else, still till this day don’t see how she lived through it all.

She had her hands full helping daddy raise and take care of us eleven kids, six of us girls, and five brothers.  I always helped my mama tend to my brothers and sisters, because I was the oldest.

I never did tell my mama but I always hated to watch after the boys because there where too many of them. She would always say “Linda Rose you can do it.”

My daddy he was always give me pocket change when he had it to give. I would always go and spend it on a little forty five speed records to sing along with a little record player.

My mama had bougth for me one Christmas from books of stamps she had save up. Back then you could go to just about any little grocery store and buy a bag of food and they would give you back stamps called S & H green stamps that you could stick in books, when you had enough books save up you could go and spend them.

Those days where good times.

.  I grew up singing along with Kitty Wells, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn and Roy Acoff and his Gospel music.  My mama always told me when I was a little girl I would try and get attention by singing and dancing for anyone that would listen to me.  I remember when I was a little girl, I would sit on the back porch with my grand pa while he played his harmonica, and his guitar and I always would sing for him too.

I hope one day I get to sing on the Grand Ole Opry Stage, my Grand Pa

He’s gone now, but my memories will always be there.
